Caring For Your YoYo Nappies

A little bit of washing saves a lot of trash!
Easy to wash, easy to dry, easy to see why Kiwi Babies Love 'em!
Instructions
- Slip absorbent insert into nappy pocket. One or two microfibre
inserts, for 2 hours approx, or one hemp insert and one microfibre
insert for 4 hours approx, or one bamboo insert and one microfibre insert for over night, 12
hours approx. This is only a guide as some babies drink more liquid
than others.
- Your nappy will perform best with good absorbent inserts
- To make life easier, use a liner next to the baby's skin so solids can be easily removed.
- Don't use barrier creams unless using a disposable liner.
Washing and Drying
- Remove insert before washing nappy
- Fold and fasten Velcro tabs back on themselves to avoid gathering lint during wash.
- Scrap off any solid matter into toilet.
- Soak nappy and liner in warm soapy water until you have 6 or 8, or put through rinse cycle in washing machine.
- Don't use fabric softeners or bleach. The microfleece will not perform if there's a residue on the fleece.
- After soaking, wash as normal using a small amount of soap powder suitable for baby clothing. You don't need any expensive labels.
- Hemp has natural oils that wash out over 6 washes. You will notice it absorbs better as time goes on, but use it between washes. Bamboo Towelling doesn't need lots of washing as it doesn't have the oils in the fibre.
- Inserts can be tumble dried but PUL nappies will last longer if you line dry. They dry quickly on clothes rack. Sun dry for maximum sanitizing and stain removal.
- If your hemp and bamboo inserts become stiff from regular washing, use baking soda as a fabric softener.
