YoYo Hire Kits are very popular. At any stage you want to use a hire kit before you buy, this is the way to help make the best finanical commitment. I have hire kits around New Zealand and Australia most months of the year and new ones are being made to keep up with the demand. For a newborn, the first few weeks are full on with changing baby around the clock. You will be making a huge saving using washable cloth nappies. For Newborn size, I have kits containing Pocket Nappies, Kits containing Snap-In-Nappies, Kits containing Organic Nappies or you can have a mix. The kits contain 12 nappies with inserts and boosters, 4 covers and 12 washable liners.
For 3months and older, Yoyo Snap-In Nappy is suitable for your baby up to 16kg.
Yoyo Pocket nappies are great to hire from 4kg up to 20kg
Cost and Hire Time
$20.00 a week with a minimum hire of 8 weeks (8 weeks = $160.00) plus $12.50 pack & post. A returnable bond of $50 dollars will secure your hire. You are welcome to hire for a shorter or longer period.Hire time can be extended, but 8 weeks is a minimum hire time. You will be very busy during that time. Around week 6 or 7 you may like to order your own nappy system giving me 2 weeks to get them made and posted to you, making it an easy change over.
I strive to get the kit to you around a fortnight before your due date. Payment starts from birth date as that is the easiest date to remember.
About the Hire Kit
Snap-in-Nappies fit from birth to toilet training.
Pocket Nappies are newborn size, small size or OSFA.
Organic nappies and covers are very small newborn and probably fit best for the first week.
As baby gets older and wets more, you would use more absorbency. By adding a doubler, or using two bamboo inserts will last longer on baby. You can place a washable liner next to baby for easy clean up. I also recommend a roll of flushable liners if you want Dad to be on the roster for changing baby. I am often asked if the cloth nappies need to be washed after every change. Usually that is best as breast fed babies poop day and night, but if you use a doubler next to baby, and replace a wet one with a new one, you may get two changes from one nappy. This works well with prefolds and covers, rotating two covers if only wet. Air one while using the other.
Washing the Hire Kit
Please be diligent to tab the velcro hook back onto the velcro loop. It will keep your nappy is better condition and avoid lint getting into the velcro hook. Washing is more pleasant if you remove or unsnap the inserts, and rinse off. Soak in a bucket of warm soapy water until you have a bucket full. Tip off water and put thru a washing cycle using less wash powder than suggested on packet. The PUL is very quick to dry so the nappies will have a quick turnaround when washed. I prefer they be line dry or clothes rack and don't get put in a clothes dryer. Inserts are fine to be put in clothes dryer.
Payment and Posting
When I receive your hire kit order, I send you payment details. Payment will secure your order for the date needed. The hire kit is quite bulky to post but well worth it for the extra absorbency. Please note: all rentals require a returnable bond of $50 dollars
